School Tube Videos

Check out this awesome site geared toward high school broadcasting and video production classes. It's like YouTube...but it's SCHOOLTube!
Teachers can upload videos created by their students with a link to their high school. Navigate your way around the site and witness the many different genres of videos. There are also monthly video contests with specific guidelines for entry and there is always a general entry contest as well. Your video just might be good enough to be featured and win prizes!
Let me know what you think about the site. Check out four or five videos and if you find one that impresses you, post the link in your comment so we can all check it out. What makes the video good? Does it give you an idea for a video you may want to create in the future?
There's also a cool section with tutorial videos and web resources... check it out for reference!
How about uploading some of your videos to represent Fitzgerald? If you have a suggestion for a video we should upload, let me know! Then I can login and post it. Also, can you find the videos we have already shared on School Tube?

Wow, that's a great site for students....One thing though...what's stopping students from uploading there stuff just to youtube?

Also, what are the file size limits?

Great question, Joe. YouTube is not regulated like SchoolTube. In order to upload a video to SchoolTube, it has to be "approved". SchoolTube videos are meant for students and teachers to use them as examples and project ideas. The quality is going to be better than YouTube. I believe the file size is the same as YouTube.

That site is pretty sweet and neat for students to upload videos and to see how other student videos look and they can compare them

Nice question Joe. How's it going? We should MAKE A VIDEO.

More on the topic, SchoolTube is a great site for teachers to use, but YouTube came out first. They have more content and a vast majority of uploaders, compared to SchoolTube. This is an epidemic, people. YouTube has already obtained a goal of filtering all of the bad, hardcore pornagraphy content, so in a way has earned the right to fight to party, metaphorically speaking.

I think the School Tube website is very interesting. There is alot of different videos to watch, and ways to get ideas for new videos. I think the Students' Choice Awards is a great way to get students involved in the whole video production process.

Thankyougoodbye.

I like how students can put there own videos on the web site... the only thing is that I can't watch them in school... But it made me interested enough to go home and try to watch them.

My thought on school tube is, i think it was a great idea for school tube to come out. You are able to watch students vidoes that they made and so on. Taking TV Pro is a good opportunity to get onto school tube because than you'll be more experienced with the videos and you would have better videos out there. You could also if your good enough try out to go in to chanllenges!
