Job Opportunity

U-Score.net is an online high school sport community where you can view games, player stats and track your favorite schools. They are also hiring sixteen high school filmers! Get paid good money to go to high school sport games and film local teams. Then, publish the games online. The supplies (laptop, camera) are provided. In order to be considered you need to put together a resume. Use Microsoft Word's Resume Wizard and include the TV Production classes as your experience. Also, include a 1-2 paragraph explanation of why you want the job and why you would be the best candidate. Make sure you have reliable transportation...you can't call in because you don't have a ride that day. If you are interested see Mr. Carter in the Career Center by the end of this week! Check out these interview tips ahead of time... http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dgtw4c6m_1dtvvh5c4

U-Score is an interesting job and has been a great opportunity offered to students, but finding trasportation has been most difficult.

The site is a good idea but truthfully when it comes to their organization well it needs some work. Thoughts of you that did not go for this made it easier for thoughts of us that did. Everyone was hired. Only problem we don’t know when we are going to work each day until hours before. It’s truly a great concept but as an employer the company is lacking. We do know there are coming to day to Fitz but they did not say when. The gale for the company is to have 2 students from every school to film at their own school so there is no traveling. This I don’t see happening any time soon.

U-score is an interesting job and a great opportunity offered to students, unfortunately I haven't been able to do the job due to trasportation issues.

Transportation wouldn’t be an issue if they did not have us going 30 miles or so to film. And with so little notice. Guess now we know why they insisted on good transportation. Question is when do they plain on paying us for it?

i think schooltube is great because it specifically for t.v production students that actually know what their doing. not like youtube where you have amateurs. both sites are great though.

U-Score.net is a good job and everything but the thing is they dont keep you updated or they dont even try to get in touch wit you. Im trying my best to follow up with U-Score.net but if they cant follow up with us students that have the job then why do why even try?

I think it's a great idea you guys had the opportunity to work for this company, especially while you are in high school. I try all the time to find job opportunities for you to use the training that you are receiving here. I am positive that the need for your own transportation was clearly established when the job was advertised, so unfortunately if you don't have access to that, then this probably isn't the opportunity for you. Those that do have transportation get the chance to be part of a brand new job and can help the directors shape the future of the whole company. Voice your concerns in a positive way (providing ideas for solutions) and you may impress your new boss in the long run...
