Johnny Knoxville leads a team into Detroit, in hopes of capturing what is currently working in a city that so many have abandoned. Rather than concentrate on the negative of Detroit, Johnny's team is looking for the artistic talent that is the heartbeat of the city. In this short documentary, you can get to know some of the people who make Detroit work. Take a few minutes to check out the documentary, explore the website and get familiar with the project. After you've done that, click on the Comment button below and tell me what you think. Do you think that this film will raise awareness? What do you think the film is trying to say about Detroit? Would you add anything or cut anything from the film? Why? How did viewing this film make you feel? Was that what the producers intended? When you think about Detroit, what are some of the emotions that come to you? I'd love to hear back from you, make sure you include your full name in your post for credit.

All the footages of detroit were awesome. This video is talking about the renaissance of art, culture, and outside redevelopment that's happening. I really liked this video. THANKS FOR SHARING MRS. SMITH :)

I love this video! It seems pretty rare that Detroit is examined for its strengths and for someone like Johnnny Knoxville to come in and point it out is pretty cool!

The video made me open up my eyes a lot. I think the awareness should be brought to bigger attention. Everyones always talking about New York, Chicago, L.A., or some other city. Why isn't anyone ever talking about Detroit? There's still so much of the city thats beautiful and left. There's so much that could be done to. People just have to have the determination and desire. If you don't want change, there's never going to be any. You only think of the old run down houses, violence filled streets, and poverty. People need to look outside the box. With a little money and love for the city it could be brought back to life. The video was made perfectly. I don't think that anything should be changed. The video was made to show there's more to it than people think. Im definitely impressed by it. Ill be sure to watch the second and third part.

This video is awesome, there are alot of people that will publish all the bad things about detoit. They think detroit is dead. it's great to see that someone influencial can come and show another side of the story. Even people that live just out of detroit get sucked into all the stereotypes and are scared to get anywhere close.
Also, the arcitecture in detroit is absolutly amazing if only more people cared and would take care of the buildings. I would be really sad to see all of the old buildings go. Whenever me and my dad are in downtown we always love to look at all of the building. I actually never knew the architect of the train station was the same that created the grand central station.
